Submission Requirements
Online Film / Video

Each entry must be viewable online (hosted by you, YouTube or other). You will be asked for the URL during the entry process. If necessary, provide a user name and/or password for the judges.

All entries in a foreign language (non-English) MUST be dubbed or subtitled.

If the same piece is entered in more than one category please note you must pay the entry fee for each category.

You can use the same URL for multiple entries, but please indicate which Title corresponds to which piece.
Websites

Film / Video / Television Production

Each entry must be uploaded, mailed in, or or a URL provided for viewing and judging. The preferred format for media files are .mov, .mpg, .avi, and .wmv. A 1- to 10- minute clip that is representative of the entire piece is recommended, but not required.

If work is mailed in for judging, each entry must be on separate DVD, CD-Rom, or USB flash drive (non-returnable). Print and include your entry summary/confirmation page so that the judges may identify each individual piece. VEMA is not responsible for lost or mislabeled entries.

Design / Print

All Design / Print entries must be submitted in digital format.

Print entries may be submitted as jpeg, tiff, eps or pdf files.

Digital files do not need to be high resolution as these will not be printed. 72dpi is the preferred resolution.

PDF's should be optimized for the web.

File sizes should be kept as small as possible without compromising the image quality. (20MB max)

Mobile Web / Apps / 3-D

Mobile Website entries must be accessible via a mobile phone, PDA or other mobile device. You will be asked for the URL during the entry process. If necessary, provide a user name and/or password for the judges.

For Applications, you may submit a URL that directs to a product demo showing the application features and components, or a direct link to download the application.

3-D entries must be stereoscopic; side-by-side, left eye first. Each 3-D entry should be submitted as .mov format. It can be a single file or two separate (clearly marked left/right) files. You may send a three minute highlight to guarantee your work will be represented properly. If work is mailed in for judging, each entry must be on separate DVD, CD-Rom, or USB flash drive (non-returnable). Print and include your entry summary/confirmation page so that the judges may identify each individual piece. VEMA is not responsible for lost or mislabeled entries.

All work must be accessible from the time of entry through July 19, 2013 at 11:59 PM, PST.
Entries are considered submitted and ready for judging when the registration, entry fee payment and work submission requirements have been fully completed and processed.
Once judged, all entries are securely destroyed.
